What counts as a “domain”?
A domain is a website you’re monitoring — your main site, a product microsite, a regional site, or a sub-brand. Each domain gets its own dashboard, its own query allocation, and its own scan schedule.
Can I add more domains later?
Yes. Add domains a la carte at $29/domain/month on Solo, Starter, and Professional. Or upgrade your tier for a larger base allotment. Enterprise includes custom domain counts.
What does BYOK mean for my costs?
You create accounts with AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) and add your API keys to CiteMetrix. Scan costs go directly to those providers at their published rates. A domain scanned weekly costs roughly $25–30/month in API fees; daily scanning costs more. CiteMetrix never marks up these costs.
How does scan frequency affect my cost?
You choose the scan frequency per query: monthly, weekly, daily, or more frequent. More frequent scanning gives fresher data but increases your API costs. A daily-scanned query costs roughly 7x what a weekly-scanned query costs. The in-product cost calculator shows you the projected cost before you commit.
